Membership is what unlocks the network: equipment on VanX, qualified labor on CrewX, chapter storage, the Academy, and standing other members can read. Because moving has highly specific operational needs — cube, stair turns, crating, claims, DOT — every application is reviewed by working movers rather than scored by an algorithm.

Requirements

What it takes to be admitted

Active operating authority

USDOT number in good standing, plus state intrastate household-goods registration where required.

Insurance at or above the floor

$1M auto liability, $100k cargo minimum, workers' comp for crew. Certificates on file with your chapter.

Judged by peers, not a platform

Applications are reviewed by working moving companies in your chapter, because movers are the only people qualified to assess a mover's equipment, crews, and standards.

Two years or a sponsor

Two years of operating history, or sponsorship from a Craftsman-tier member in your chapter.

Owned equipment to share

At least one asset — trailer, truck, or gear set — listed on VanX within 30 days of admission.

Verification

Four steps, usually under a week

Verification happens once, and it is done by other movers. Your status and any expiring document is always visible in the app — and verification is what unlocks both VanX equipment and CrewX labor.
